For those who were Maiden fans before TNOTB do you remember your feelings when you first heard the album? Being a bit of a milestone for the band and NWOBHM did it feel like that when it first came out. What where you feelings towards Bruce? Maybe you went to one of the Beast on the Road gigs before the album came out. Ive heard there was a few rumblings of "we want Paul" but that dissappeared. Be interested to hear from those that were there.
 
would especially love to hear from people at the earliest UK shows from before the album was out, or indeed on any of the UK tours that kicked off before the respective album was released.

Just listening to Beast over Hammersmith and got goosebumps imagining being a punter there and The Number of the Beast comes on and you have absolutely no idea that you are hearing an all time metal classic for the first time.
