Rating: 8.89/10

Iron Maiden and Killers were both good albums, yet both had duds (the former only a couple, the latter a lot). The Number of the Beast is the first Maiden album to only have good songs, and it would only get better from here.

Though at times young Bruce reminds me of my grandmother.......!!!!!

Half the album is utterly classic, and the rest is OK to good, with the exception of the clunker "Gangland". (They really should have put "Total Eclipse" on there instead.)

Overall, a great start for what would become the classic era of the band. Still a little uneven, but this is where they finally started to show their true brilliance.

Yeah, but I could never consider it part of the album, because it never has been in my 36 years of listening to it. Totally different if you first bought the version with the song on the main disc, of course.
