thoughts about how Senjutsu might work live

what I meant to say was this: the 1980s stages were cool in my opinion. the backdrop stages later: not so cool. did I put that wrong? sorry, no native english speaker...
No, sorry, it’s not a language thing. I’m thinking of sets like Dance of Death and Final Frontier with the satellite stage sets; those were cool right?

hmmm, not REALLY. better than the backdrop thing definitely. there was not much gimmicking around the DoD stage I remember. there's nothing like the LAD or SIT stage. okay, the DoD stage had not many gimmicks, but a memorable thing about the Hannover show was: my buddy lost ground below his feet when a huge crowd push came to happen during HBTN, and the next moment I saw him being stuck with his face in the sweaty armpit of a massive half naked bloke infront of him. and he couldn't really come out by himself, cause he was rather small and had no ground under his feet. that was an interesting thing to watch.

as to the stage, I think anyway they should come up with something interesting. since 1990 it's the same concept of using backdrops. sure, this has some kind of effect at a relative low expense (easy to transport) but it's nothing special and was never really interesting. especially when compared to their cool theme-based stage sets of the 1980s (LAD, SIT, SSOASS).
Maiden's stage sets are always cool, special and intersting (LOTB says hello, for example). They have an option to change the shape of the stage this time (the theme of the album allows it), but why? Everything looks great with the backdrops. And honestly, Maiden can afford to use backdrops because they always have amazing artworks. TBOS stage set is one of the band's all time best! DOD stage set was also really cool with the added wall for the backdrops and etc...
The ''wild'' stage designs for all bands were during the 80's, nowadays it's either backdrops or big screen (I'm not a fan of the latter) of a relatively similar shape of the stage with a few minor changes and exceptions, ofc.

Btw, a stage set like this for Senjutsu is very possible. This stage set will also be one of their best, I'm sure.

I would love to see Adrian playing the double-neck Jackson.
It will be interesting to hear what they decide that "smaller venues" means in concrete terms.
Maybe they could play here? I always find it very atmospheric when not only the stage setting, but also the wider environment plays a role in the experience.
