I've been lucky enough to see them 31 times over the years. My favorites would be -
1996, Baltimore - my first Maiden show. This was at the semi legendary Hammerjacks club in Baltimore (featured on the SIT artwork) and was an amazing experience. I found out about the show about 2 days before it happened (heard about it on the radio of all places), scrambled to get my parents to get tickets and drive me up to the show and thankfully the venue was 17+ as I was not yet 18. Fear Factory opened and was amazing. Maiden blew my mind. Seriously, I was less than 2 feet from Steve's bass the whole night, it was life changing.
1999, Stuttgart - I was traveling in Europe at the time and managed to get tickets in the nosebleeds for this show. Seeing Bruce and Adrian with the band and that set list was just an incredible experience I'll never forget.
2006, Camden - AMOLAD is my favorite of the reunion albums and this tour was a special one in that it was the first tour where I saw multiple shows. Funny note that this is one of the shows where the tank did not work, making it pretty memorable for something other than just the amazing tunes and performances (and the post show grumbling from a very vocal crowd).
2010, NYC - Seriously, how awesome was the setlist for the pre-album part of The Final Frontier tour? True, I missed out on Paschendale as it had long since left the set. But this show had a great mix of some of my favorite reunion era tunes in it. Plus I got to see them on the floor at a legendary venue. Great times.
2017, London (2x) - Traveling to see my favorite band in their home city on back to back nights with my Dad is an experience I'll never forget. I had lofty expectations of how it would feel and those expectations were greatly surpassed. Plus, the Book of Souls tour was an amazing set.
2024, Newark, NJ - Seeing Bruce run out on the stage with the light up jacket from 1986 and belt into Caught Somewhere in Time is something I'd never thought I would see. The show, crowd and vibes were incredible for the entire evening.
I've never seen a bad show or performance but would argue the 2013 Maiden England tour was still the biggest missed opportunity.
