So basically, what do you think was the finest solo for each of the three amigos?
live solos included.


I still gotta think about mine, but I got some that I really liked like davey's RiR solo on wrathchild & BNW, H's solos on Notb & HBTN, Jan's GOTN, BNW & Donington FotD.

Um well I have heard one of them, which has bruce swearing a lot about Britney spears. some thing like this

"If you thought Britney fucking Spears was fucking cool take a look at us you mother fuckers. This is metal and its not fucking cool"

something like that. maybe someone has the link to the site which lets you download it for you.....

Funny enough, the crowd likes it... I don't think bruce is exactly directin' it towards the crowd...

I think it was cut because steve did the editing and Im not sure thats the image he wants to promote his band.

thats just my opinion though

The crowd is Brazilian and the great lot probably doesn't understand that much English. They're only reacting to Bruce's energy and his use of the word "fuck".

Also the crowd would cheer whatever he said...even the ones that understood him would cheer even if they didnt agree

Speaking of bruce fuckin' dickinson, I've listened to blaze sing, then listened to bruce sing blaze's songs, bruce just does it better. songs like "the clansman" need the epic feel, the power, blaze just doesn't have it like bruce does...

You keep asking questions showing what a knob you are (good choice of nick, Nobby! I think that's unfair, Mav. His latest question, while it has been discussed here before, is always interesting to discuss further. Also, previous discussions of "best solo" have usually centered on studio cuts, and "best live solo" is a more interesting diversion.

As for the nick, I read somewhere it's davey's nickname, i'm pretty sure it's not hehe, but I liked it as a forum nick so I started using it.


It's hard to pick one solo, but like I said, to me, davey's solos on Brave New World & WrathChild On RiR kind of stand out, and as for live performance, I think davey's performance on Donington '92 was great.

Jan's FotD solo in Donington was good, also I like his solos on Brave New World, Ghost Of The Navigator & Blood Brothers On RiR.

H is difficult cuz he doesn't improv live, he plays the exact notes he did in the studio, but really good solos by H are Flight Of Icarus, Number Of The Beast & Hallowed Be Thy Name, I still don't understand why jan plays the solo live, I love jan and think he's great, one of my biggest influences, but H does it better.

I'd have to say, Davey's on "to tame a land" it's a rareversion, it also has solos for Nicko and H and even Arry,yes Arry.
 
is it just me or is it extremely annoying when someone changes a topic to something completely different after people answered to the first question...
