I voted for Reign in Blood because I still listen to it more than any of the others, but I could have just as easily picked Peace Sells or Puppets. While I think SIT is awesome, it's not one of Maiden's top 2 albums in my opinion and the others are for their respective bands. But man, what a great year for music!

'88 was pretty good too:
-South of Heaven
-...and Justice For All
-Seventh Son
-Operation: Mindcrime
-Crimson Glory Transcendence
-Frolic Through the Park (death angel)
-Keeper of the 7 Keys (2)
-King Diamond: Them
-Overkill: under the Unfluence
-Forever Your Girl by Paula Abdul
-Testament: The New Order

Easy. Somewhere In Time. Next closest is MOP and it loses by a longshot.

Of that selection, I have only heard Somewhere in Time, Puppets, Peace Sells and Reign in Blood. I have absolutely no desire to listen to Ozzy's effort and don't really care for Motorhead's either. Sabbath's Seventh Star is something that I have not thought about though I have heard it is good. Perhaps one day I will take a listen.

However, last from that four is, ironically, Somewhere in Time - not exactly my favourite Maiden album. Third Peace Sells and second Reign in Blood.

The winner - by a long stretch - Master of Puppets. Possibly one of the greatest metal albums of all time.

I hate voting against Maiden, but SIT is the weakest of the "Golden Age" albums and Puppets is one of the all time great Metal albums.
