The X Factor & Virtual XI Vinyl Pressings

I can't imagine the remasters of No Prayer and Fear sounding much different (or better) than the original CD pressings, since they were digital recordings. What did they do to change them on the remasters?
They sound different because the remasters have been subjected to extensive dynamic compression than the original CD release.

I have the original CD pressings of these 2 albums. They say "DDD" on the back, which indicates that it is a digital recording. The other ones are different. The original pressing of NOTB, for example, says "AAD" on the back, which means it was recorded on analog, but the CD master is digital.
Cheers. Forgot about that.

My original Iron Maiden CD says ADD, if I remember well. Need to look it up, to be sure.

DDD, huh (can't find it on my copy, which is an original release too). Digital recording was, extremely primitive compared to nowadays. Pro Tools 1 was released in 1990. Wonder what the signal chain was like.

I'm pretty sure it does, I don't own an original of that, but AAD is the most common anyway.

Yea, they're the only CDs I have from when people were doing SPARS code that are marked DDD.

I might have a later pressing - It's still the original release though, but likely a later pressing though, without DDD.

*Remastering though, is not the AD process, mind you.

Or maybe just the US copies have the label. My SSOASS isn't labeled and that's from Germany I think.
