The wonders of the U.S education system

Well, the first good news in the last week (after a whole week of REALLY bad news)! Apperantly the University straightened things out on their own and I am not getting any money withheld, I'm getting the full loan and scholarship amount so I'm excited. I'll still go talk to them to make sure. And for those of you that are curious as to the exact estimates (now there's an oximoron) done by the University on expenses here is how they break it down:

Tuition and Fees $4,498.00
Room and Meals $1,860.00
Books and Supplies $780.00
Transportation $1,020.00
Miscellaneous $2,420.00
Total: $10,578.00

Funny how in a rapid scroll, the words "Fees" and "Meals" merge into "Females" [!--emo&:P--][img src=\'style_emoticons/[#EMO_DIR#]/tongue.gif\' border=\'0\' style=\'vertical-align:middle\' alt=\'tongue.gif\' /][!--endemo--]

That's like a course in legends with a minor in bullshit, isn't it? [!--emo&:D--][img src=\'style_emoticons/[#EMO_DIR#]/biggrin.gif\' border=\'0\' style=\'vertical-align:middle\' alt=\'biggrin.gif\' /][!--endemo--]

pues estudiar en Montegüey es solo un poco menos caro, no mames cabrón esta bien pinche ojete!!!

sorry, I know, there is an spanish forum, yes, sorry again!!!!

Over here, I pay around $4,200 us dollars a semester. first, the strory: I wanted to study either anthropology or Philosophy/Political Science. My parent's crearly didn't like the idea, they figured i'd starve to death (when you are from a higher-mid class family in the third world, money is the only thing that counts, specially when your father had to sell bubblegum after school in buses to support his mother, alcoholic father and 7 brothers and sisters, the wierd thing is that the opposition was more from my mother who came from a white midclass family, my father being from a mestizo family, good thing I got his skin colour!) Well, my mother tricked me to go to a upperclass right wing bullshit university where I started an International Studies mayor. She tricked me because I was already accepted on the National Institute of Anthropology and History, but the classes started in january and it was july, so she told me to start at the facist uni while I went to my beloved Mexico City to study. Once the semester finished she blackmailed me saying they had allready spent a lot of money in my education so I should finish there. a uni full of rich white people with nothing on their head but fashion and nonsense. (I'm not attacking white people, just saying how it works here). So by now, five years later, I presented my final tesis and got what in the US would be an A, but I haven't graduated because I have a few subjetcs to finish and I have to pay for them at almost $800 bucks a piece and I earn about $650 a month on my stupid job and also I have to pay about $200 for the room I'm renting. I can only take one or two subjects per semester, I feel I'll never finish. Most of my friends are now in Europe studing a master and I'm stuck here, it sucks big time.

It might not be so bad, but I'm so pist off!!!
