Hey guys, can you help me?
I'm searching for the setlist of the 2007 tour and still nothing!
I'm going to the Athens gig and I'm so excited!
:yey:

Keep it metal  :)

you have to wait the gig before Athens to see....it's said that it would be not the same as of AMOLAD tour, this is sure

back in 2005 they have promised to play "Alexander the great" next time, if they do it finally,
I will regret not to have take the plane and see them, but I believe that they will play it for first time in their carriere during their first concert in....
....FYR Macedonia

Well, I think I read somewhere it would be similar to AMOLAD tour with some AMOLAD songs replaced with others, but I do not think Alexander would be one of them. Maybe in 2008, when we will hopefully get History, part 2, there will be Alexander there (I think that is possible as Somewhere in Time fits to the period of part 2, am I right?), but not this year.

But in fact, I do not care what the setlist would be (yes, there are songs I would like to hear, but in fact, I would be there even in the case of the worst material they have, because, you know, they are not young and we have to be happy to see them everytime it is possible)

(hehe, funny, while writing this, my playlist in xmms reached Alexander the Great, what a coincidence! :-)

And hopefully it will be the only place on the tour that they play Alexander The Great!

I beg your pardon?  Since when does Alexander have anything to do with FYROM?  Look,  I don't really give a damn about that person(Alexander),  but I absolutely hate history manipulation!  Besides,  since we're onto Maiden,  the lyrics go "in a part of Ancient Greece..."  Don't expect to see Maiden play that song in FYROM,  unless it's a standard song in the setlist....

I was seriously hoping this discussion would not not come up. I considered deleting the last line in no5's post because I knew this was going to happen, but for some reason decided against it.

Here is a word of warning: no5's statement was a joke. Every further post about this matter will be deleted without warning, and if incorporated in a longer post, the concerning passages will be deleted. This thread is not about political or historical discussion, but about a (hypothetical) setlist for the upcoming tour.

This is the most annoying discussion topic on the internet, and I have come across it in every single message board I ever posted on. What's worse is that at some point, no matter how many years on, some FYROMer/Greek/Bulgarian/whatever else will bump the thread with a troll post.

In other words: no5 and Sneaky said "Jehova".

Belenor is right. If they ever play ATG, it will be History Part 2. Odds are - since they've never played it and it's been decades since they recorded it - they don't even remember how to play it. I doubt they'd devote the time to re-learn it unless they're going back and re-learning a bunch of songs.

So any 2007 AMOLAD tour dates will be half a dozen songs from AMOLAD plus the usual suspects - Hallowed, Trooper, Wrathchild, NotB, FotD etc. Songs they've played so often that no rehearsal will be required.

In this March tour, I think they'll play 6 tracks of the last album. (My guess will be the first 5 plus Breeg)

To those who have no clue what this is about, I made a post explaining the matter here.

Well, I hope you are wrong, because I'd like to hear For the Greater Good of God, Lord of Light and The Legacy :-)

I might be wrong indeed about the March tour. Bigger chance is that it might happen at the upcoming festivals.

woops !! I was ignoring the consequences of my funny post, all these days !!!
@Perun : I see now why you posted this Macedonian post -in the middle of ...Peloponnese- in "of empires..." thread

sorry I upseted you I was joking (and totally ignored the troll problem about this subject in these forums)
but go to "of empires...." thread and you'll see my real opinion about the subject.....

I said "this dinner is good enough for Jehova"  :D

            [.......]

Seriously now, I don't believe that they will ever play ATG even in history part II (as they didn't play "to tame a land " in part I) -it will be a pleasant surprise if they do so, though
Also, I do believe that in the setlist of history II it will be some songs like "Iron Maiden" and "hallowed..." -it will be a pleasant surprise if they will not do so, though

Just back from the Athens gig.

The setlist (roughly, I may have the order slightly muddled) :

(spoliers of course!)

Different World
These Colours Don't Run
Brighter Than a Thousand Suns
Wrathchild
The Trooper
Reincarnation of Benjamin Breeg
The Number of the Beast
Two Minutes to Midnight
Fear of The Dark
For The Greater Good of God
The Evil That Men Do
Run to the Hills
Iron Maiden
Hallowed Be Thy Name

Bruce sang the chorus of Alexander the Great over the intro to Run to the Hills. He then sang it again by himself afterwards and this time tried to get the crowd to sing along - they didn't do a very good job and he quipped "oh they forgot it already" before launching straight into Iron Maiden. otherwise the crowd were pretty amazing, about the most enthusiastic I've ever seen at a gig. Would've been nice had they played Alexander - or Icarus - as a special treat for them. Instead they got a bog standard 1 hour 40 minute set of a selection from AMOLAD, all the usual tired oldies and NO surprises (despite Bruce saying their would be).

Still they played well.

Bruce promised it for the next time they play Greece. But it is quite obvious with this setlist that the band didn't want to take the time and do extra rehearsals. Quite surprising for me, though, that they dropped 'Out Of The Shadow'.

I think Bruce is just teasing. Although if it gets played anywhere, it'll be history tour part 2.
