The Thin Line Between Love and Hate / SOLOS

I said that I always doubted, because the 2nd "half" of Childhood's End really sounds like Dave and when I read the interview I am sure it's the both of them in that song.

You say there's absolutely no element of Dave in the one but last solo of The Thin Line and in the 2nd half of Childhood's End (even after I presented you the interview). I find that unbelievable. I could say the same to you about the wax, but let's stop fighting about it.

Ok. I'll listen to Childhood's End solo again. Do you remember where did you read this interview? Something like that, I would save for the record as it is a rarity they talking about solos. And I hardly miss any of their style, mate. I know these guys styles from afar; I think it's 2 or 3 songs of the whole catalog I was in doubt.
 
Well, I listened to it like 10 times and I still don't listen Dave's style, but if Bruce says it has 2 solos, let's go then. There's lots of descending phrasing patterns which has none of Dave's fluid hammer-ons and legatos (except the very last descending phrase of the solo, which is more Dave's style). These patterns are most all picked note by note, typical of Janick.

But if I was to split it in two, given that Dave is once again using Jan's equip and kinda emulating his style, it'd go:

05) Childhood's End (Harris) - 4:40

-2 guitar harmony - 1:52/2:43

Well, thinking and listening well now, the split is really clear. Well, if you Forostar says you have always suspected about it, then you must be the only one 'cos Bruce himself says that people wouldn't really know it before the interview. And it doesn't mean I don't know their styles (you're very wrong about it, as you can see through my solography and my posts! I said Fear Of The Dark has a lot experiment and so Bruce did on the interview, which shows the wavelength I'm with the band). I really can't understand why there are still these kind of silly competitions among Maiden fans - the eternal 'I know better than you'. This is bullshit.

Apart from the technique/patterns, I can also recognize Dave's sound and the "way" he executes a solo. This fluid execution is often unmistakable. I say often because I already admitted I have had a hard time with Invasion & Mother Russia (and in the beginning Childhood's End as well).

Again, the benefit of doubt is really great. Listening again to The Thin Line Between Love & Hate and I'll agree that the second last solo is really Dave's. His vibrato gives it away 'cos it is fluid like his solos. The last solo is really Jan's 'cos the guitar tone clearly changes and his desperate vibrato is another give away, too.

I thought it was this,too. But listen to vibrato on the 4th solo and the compare to the first 3 Dave solos'. It'll gives away that it's Dave again. The last is Janick, right.
