The Soundhouse Tapes

Guys.I saw Iron Maiden at the Stafford Bingley Hall UK in the late 70,s (yes I'm that old)Angel Witch, Vardis and Girlschool were on the same bill.On the day I received a copy of the Soundhouse Tapes.I can't remember whether I bought it from Lotus Records in Stafford, or whether it was being handed out for free(I think it was the latter). Is this copy likely to be the real thing and not fake?

I'd also say there's another reason to assume that it's real. Bootlegging of the Soundhouse Tapes did not really start until Maiden became successful enough for fans to start collecting their stuff. Before that, I guess there simply wasn't any reason to distribute fake Soundhouse Tapes.

Perhaps, but it was very wanted, and sold out in no time. Plus I guess fans started to collect their stuff since day 1.

I wish I could remember 100%.I'm not sure if it was given away inside the building or outside. It must have looked like an 'official' source as I'm pretty cautious about where I buy stuff like this from, even as a callow youth.

Consider the time, mate. Youths in the late seventies would have paid money for a tape containing that music. It was all about the music back then.

I wish I still was a youth. My hearing isn't the same as it used to be because of the loud music I've listened to over the years. If any of you young uns are reading any of this be very careful. If you're listening to music via headphones you will become accustomed to the volume after a while.Dont be tempted to increase the volume!
