The Official Stanley Cup Playoffs Thread

Well, Buffalo won forcing a game seven, which means whoever wins won't get much rest since their game 7 is thursday night and the finals start on sunday... could be good could be bad.

Cool, a Stanley Cup Thread.

Edmonton restores Canada's honor with regards to its national sport..... ingnoring the fact that 70% of the NHL is Canadian.

*24

It's 4-3 Carolina. The Oilers were winning 3-0 at one point. I'm stunned. :(

Ooh, my bad... actually 25 hehe. (Vancouver, Edmonton, Calgary, Toronto, and Montreal)

As for the game... I'm stunned as well.... and Rollie is hurt :( This officially sucks major ass.

Ottawa is in Canada, my friend. ;)

I think Edmonton still has a chance* to win. Stranger thing have happened.

*Extremly low, but neverless, a chance

Tomorrow can't come fast enough.

shit! I can't believe I forgot the Sens! thanks for that one...

I just hope whatever goalie they decide to go with he plays well and more importantly I hope Rollie is able to come back, but as far as early reports go he might not. :(

I love how Carolina plays "Rock You Like A Hurricane" before the game.

I'm not sure what to expect tonight. This should make for an exciting game.

I have the same sick feeling... without Rollie I doubt they have the same confidence... and I've started to notice a pattern too. Berenger accidently pushed a 'Cane into Roloson... Game 2 The first goal deflects off his skate past Marksonen (sp? whatever)... I wonder what he'll do in game 3 :( Not saying he does it intentionally, but he is pretty unlucky lately.

The first period was awesome but...

The rest of the game was depressing. Hopefully they can pull their act together, but I'm losing confidence in Edmonton.

We'll see.

OH THAT'S RIGHT BITCHES! EDMONTON IS ALIVE AND KICKING! GO OILERS!!!! WHAT A GREAT GAME 5, JUST TO MORE, YOU CAN DO IT MARKANNEN!

I'm more worried about the rest of the team failing, rather than Markannen. He's been great.

Really? why is that? They are physically grinding down Carolina and I haven't seen them falter all that much except in the fact that they are a low producing team, but they've been that all year.

Doug Weight is done, Aaron Ward has been hurt.  This is very good for Edmonton.  Their players still seem in good shape.

Apart from game 5, the Oilers haven't been that great. They start out really well, but toward the end of the game they seem to lose momentum. Markannen's been brilliant though. Maybe it's because Carolina is such a good team, but I haven't been too impressed with Edmonton, save game 5.

That said, The Oilers have proven me wrong. They've out shot the Canes 24-4 with 5 minutes left in the second. :o
