The hidden lady on the Somewhere Back in Time cover... (Picture included)

That's a shame really, I thought I was on to something there.

I don't see how the whole thing could have been redesigned, but had her left in :-/

I'm just wishing it was something more than it actually is.

I wouldn't be too disappointed, and wouldn't call it an error even. I think it's cool that only one of those figures was allowed to survive all these decades. That how I see it. :)

People love to read too deep into things.
It wouldn't surprise me if the figure was left in there for no other purpose than to get hardcore fans chatting. So that someone would (over)analyze it pondering, "why is this? what's this mean?"

Yeah true, it could have been left there to mess with us.

@Forostar I do find it kind of cool how there's only one there. She's kinda in a position overwatching the front of the pyramid. She seems oblivious to Eddie bursting out of the top though...

EDIT: I've also found something else strikingly out of place on the poster. Should I make a new thread, or just use this one?

Ok, so here's my other find. A face that appears to be shouting or screaming down on the scene. On the CD cover, you can only see his mouth just above the M on Maiden. You can only see the full feature on the poster, and he's directly above Eddie's head. I don't know if this has any significance, is just by chance (although I highly doubt that) or if it's just to add the the scene.

This is unmistakably a face, look at the pictures below.

I dunno, it looks innoculous enough. Of course, there's no other Maiden cover with a face in the sky on it, so I don't know where the reference could be from.

I've already been beaten to it, but anyway... Half of the Brave New World cover art has a titanic face in the sky.

I'll agree about it not having much to do with the album, because Somewhere Back in Time is 1980-1989, and Brave New World was released in 2000, so the two have no correllation. I'm going to look at the cover art on my other albums for a better insight on this.

I may well be looking to deep into these things, but I'm still finding things unnoticed by others, whether trivial or significant.

Hey, it's a fun way to kill a day.  This is why LPs are really the best, I'll never forget opening up Somewhere in Time (or Powerslave) and listening to the record the first time while digging through the cover trying to figure out what everything meant (a bit harder pre-Internet) and then trading theories with friends.

The good old days.

LC was being facetious, folks.

What Bearfan said.

Don't, mate, you don't know our penchant levels for sarcasm yet.

Mine's quite high.

I've spent the last 3 and a half  years of my life on SarcasticGamer.com

You havn't seen anything ;)

Hey look, a sarcasm contest. Now that is really going to solve our problems.
