Geoff Tate from 86 to 88 was the best metal singer in the world IMO.
I can't agree, having high-pitched voice is not enough, although Tate was great and I understand your choice. Live too. He, Kiske and Kotipelto are similar voices in almost similar bands. Their comparison is curious.
although I don't think he can quite compete with Painkiller era Halford.
Agreed. Or from 1986.

Dream Theater has managed to win at snakes and ladders, even in the presence of their enemy, John Zorn. Stratovarius holds the key - being better than Linkin Park. You'd be in bad company if you didn't vote for Metallica. Dream Theater gets home through a purple haze, and Symphony X manages to confuse Primal Fear with their smoke and mirrors. And finally, doesn't it feel like both Aerosmith and Queensrÿche are talking about sex, the act in one case, the unfortunate aftermath for some in others?

I love "Stranglehold", I really do, but it's not metal.

I love "Dazed and Confused", I really do, but... actually no their opponent is also not metal so I'm voting for not metal.

I love "Jump", I really do, but it's not metal.

I love Dream Theater, I really... actually, no I don't, and "Anywhere in the Galaxy" was probably the most fun Gamma Ray song in this game so I'm voting for metal.

I love "July Morning", I really do, but it's not metal.

HE DID IT ALL FOR YOUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU

Stranglehold is one of those 70's compositions that sounds so classic and probably influential. I enjoy that it's like an extended solo with cool licks.
Eyes Of The World, no contests. One of Rainbow's timeless songs.
Green Manalishi by Priest is cool, better and rock solid, but Jump is more catchy. Big fan of the riffing, but I've never been big fan of the song.
Voices is solid DT (typical prog), but I prefer the power metal of Gamma Ray. Anywhere In The Galaxy is like power/Priest from the 90's/thrash in one. It works very well, as expected from the band. The post-chorus too.
Skid Row's 18 And Life is one of the best metal ballads. It's shorter and more lively.

Enslaved had some good parts and some shit parts, Stranglehold is great and far closer to what I consider to be metal than Enslaved

I'm not interested in non-Dio Rainbow, Dazed and Confused is clearly the better track here

This is a tough one, I'm still not certain which is my favourite, but my knee jerk pick is Green Manalishi

This one is a quite bad tie, Anywhere in the Galaxy is the sort of Euro Power Metal that I don't like, plus the verse is just a lift from Metal Meltdown, but it's still something I'd prefer to listen to over DT

The Heep track was pretty good but 18 and Life is a lot better

Troublegum is a great record, and I'm probably going to listen to it now after this, so Nowhere get's the win, but the A Perfect Circle track was pretty good

It's tough for me to pick in the first match - average butt rock versus a very uneven Enslaved match. But I will go for Enslaved in the end, as I feel it is at least more interesting.

I rather like this Rainbow track and Dazed and Confused isn't really metal enough for me.

Green Manalishi is a favourite of mine, and while I like Jump (I'm no MrK with Van Halen hatred) it's definitely far poppier.

Gamma Ray for sure here.

Not only is Sebastian Bach Canadian, his brother was the goaltending coach for the Ottawa Senators for many years. Therefore I must vote Skid Row.

I don't really care. Nowhere.

I love "Stranglehold", I really do, but it's not metal.
Enslaved is far more interesting and aktuahally mehtuhl
Stranglehold is great and far closer to what I consider to be metal than Enslaved
....how?

Rainbow by a mile.

Green Manalishi because it's a great metal-ish cover of a folk song and also
MrK with Van Halen hatred

Dream Theater, of course.

Skid Row by a mile.

Therapy? is pop punk. A Perfect Circle is alt-hard rock. IDK. Both are meh. Judith.
