The cult of H

People seem to keep missing the fact that it was all a Joke. I mean, we all know 'Arry is the One and True Lord. :D

On topic: Seemingly, the most popular member (outside of this forum) is undoubtedly Bruce, but H does have reasonable following. However..

1) H is far more popular after 2000 (amongst the fans of Maiden) than he was before 1989
I do remember some pretty unfavourable comments about him when he left in '89. He was slammed for barely moving onstage (which went unnoticed as Murray stood still as well); but when Janick came along, Murray gained a new lease of life and - moved around a bit!

2) the cult of H really started in September 2003 with the song Paschendale
I think I see your point, this was a turning point in his songwriting (to a degree).

3) "accident of birth" and "chemical wedding" helped the fans of Maiden to appreciate more the qualities of H
4) the 10 wasted years (1989-1999) in general, made the fans of Maiden to realise the enormity of the loss -which
after 2000/ 2003 did became a cult
I think it was when he came back and started writing did most Maiden fans realise what was missing. I could be wrong, but that is how I saw it.

5) before 2000 the term H didn't exist
It did - us Brits (and possibly other English speaking nations) have been calling Adrian's "H" for quite sometime.

Albie, your post count is almost 1,000.  Who should be sacrificed on the alter of "H" to commemorate this blessed occasion?  No. 5's favourite childhood toy?

I'm kidding.  ;)

EDIT: I've made an edit here.  The original post was... just not right, even if it was meant as an obvious (bad) joke.

Albie only sacrifices dogs. At full moon obviously. ;)
