How do we define the heyday of each of those bands?
When those bands had already had their breakthrough and become massive acts, I assume. For many of the bands presented, that happened in the '80s. We all know Maiden's golden years were in the '80s. Sure, those bands are immensely popular now, but they're sort of reliving their dream one more time (baby). In other words, when they were all young and kicked ass with no existential remorse, haha.

Thanks, but how can we judge which one was better if we did not experience them in those days ourselves? I only started going to gigs in 1991!
Yeah, that’s a problem, especially if their heyday was in the 70s or 80s without a good video record.

I was lucky enough to see the VH Monsters Of Rock tour, where Metallica was still touring Master Of Puppets (and utterly killing it), Scorpions were still in their prime, and even Dokken was still bringing the house down touring Back For The Attack with Don still nailing everything. I actually left halfway through Van Hagar’s headline set because they were so disappointing compared to the other bands.

Also saw Metallica twice on the Justice tour and they were still killing it live.

Rush has a pretty thorough video record of their live shows, and I saw them on almost every tour from Roll The Bones onward, and they never disappointed performance-wise until Geddy’s voice started to go on the higher notes. Never an issue instrumentally, though.

Man, you're not buying a cow here, just giving your vote to three bands that, in your perception and opinion, are the best. Every one of us has some mental images and opinions regarding many of these bands. Those impressions are gathered over the years by watching live footage, reading articles, listening to their music, and attending concerts...

Ah, you lured me into my own trap here with "try to be objective," but I also wrote "which is impossible" - so just be true to yourself and vote for the bands that suit your bias.

Fair enough.

Queen, AC/DC and Scorpions it is then.
