To me, Futureal beats any post-reunion short rocker. It’s deliciously explosive—Steve’s last hurrah when it comes to writing a pure banger.

I've speculated that since he was 42 years old at that moment, writing 'pure bangers' is simply not something he carried into middle age. There are banging parts to his longer songs aplenty. But his instinct and desire to write short, sharp powerful maiden tunes just vanished.

Though for me there are post-reunion co-written short rockers of that quality.
