oh Conor, have you learned nothing? Just because you created something it doesn't mean you have control over it! Victor Frankenstien learned this the hard way hehe. Honestly, it used to bother me when a thread would get off topic regardless if I had created it or not, but now I see that that is the beauty of this place, it takes a life of its own and it becomes what the people in this thread make it.
As for your problem Black Ace. I suggest you read Montaine (sp?) father of the modern Essay, in his essay "Apology for Raymond Cibone" He coins the phrase "Ignorance is Bliss, Knowledge is Hell." I don't know when agnosticism started but He was a big proponent of it. When he came along there were only Dogmatists and Skeptics. dogmatist (achieved certain knowledge), absolute skeptics (absolutely impossible for anyone to discover the truth), Cibone began Pyrrho (you can’t either affirm nor deny the certainty of knowledge). This leads to peace of mind. his essay is about the uncertainty of knowledge.
