System of a Down

Protect the Land is a really cool song with a surprisingly anthemic, melodic chorus for SOAD. Honestly it could be a reunion-era Maiden melody.

The other song is...like old SOAD. Not my favorite.

Both suffer from the same problems as all SOAD albums, Daron's voice being aggressively loud (often louder than Serj). He's a great harmony singer, but his voice is shit and I don't ever want to hear it.

Glad they're doing something for a good cause and nice to hear from them, even if I don't have a ton of interest in their sound anymore.
