Note: The opening post of this thread will be kept up to date with new information and its source. If you report something, it will only be included here if you name the source.
Alright folks, it seems definite that there is going to be another album. So it's not too early to get the rumour and speculation going. What we have so far are two vague hints from the official site:
Rod's statement:
During 2014 we have something new we need to start thinking about, and on which we will be wholly and firmly focused going into 2015 and beyond! (Source)
And Steve's statement:
Although we would have liked to have visited more cities and countries on this run, it simply hasn’t been possible time-wise. This is for a number of reasons, probably of interest to Maiden fans! (Source)
As well as something much more specific, though much less official, in the first paragraph of this post.
Update 24.10.: Randy Bachman said in an interview that Kevin Shirley will be working with Maiden at the end of the year: http://forum.maidenfans.com/threads/new-album-news.29562/
Update 16.12: The new IMFC magazine includes some strong hints to recording activity: http://forum.maidenfans.com/threads/studio-album-16.29022/page-17#post-491538
Update 19.02.: A guy called DeadPanda posted on Metalsetlists.com that a Maiden gig in Dallas is listed as "pending" around August 20th.

Update 27.02: Nicko confirms new album is made and ready to go, pending Bruce's recovery.

So let's go wild!
Some requests: I promise I won't be a dick this time, but I would love it if everybody named a source for statements they are going to post, and honestly ask themselves how valid this information is. Things such as two-year-old statements from Bruce in magazines for example have proven to be unreliable sources of information in the past; not because Bruce didn't mean what he said when he said it, but because plans may have changed in between. So please, do mind that. Also, don't pass off rumours as facts. That never comes across well.
