Songs that you didn't "get" until seeing them live

I'm curious as to whether anyone else out there has experienced a song or two from Maiden that really didn't move them too much, until seeing them live.  For my own example, I recently saw Maiden for the first time in Bristow.  The song Blood Brothers has always been a "good" song to me, but nothing spectacular.  However, after hearing it live, with the whole audience singing it....I think that was probably the most powerful moment of the show for me, and opened me up to a whole new world of appreciation for that track.
 
I really enjoyed Wildest Dreams live. Still don't listen to the album version that often.

Fear of the Dark is another one.
 
The Wicker Man, believe it or not. I loved the song before hearing it live, but as soon as that opening riff kicked in, and as soon as I heard that audience go crazy, singing "Your time will come!!", I had a new found respect for that song. The Wicker Man seems to sound 1000x better live, similar to Fear of the Dark.
 
I gotta also say, the whole Eddie coming out on stage during Iron Maiden I thought was pretty cool, but seeing it live, I went apeshit for Eddie.  It didn't make any sense to me how much it kicked ass seeing it for real, but it's like finally meeting a legend.  I can't wait to meet him again!
 
I don't think I've listened to the studio version of Fear of the Dark in a good 5 years, but man, as overplayed as it may be it's still a stellar live track.
 
Fear of the Dark. After hearing countless live versions on bootlegs, I was getting sick of it. But seeing it live for yourself it something magical!

I agree! When you watch videos, you think "Oh, that's awesome!", but seeing it in person is 1000 times cooler :D
 
The clansman, by far, I had a down period with maiden during the whole 90's, but went and watched them on the reunion tour. I was not up to date with the balze material but goddamn how that song blew me away =)
 
Fear of the Dark is a song that doesn't really work for me when I listen to it at home. It has to be part of a show, either on DVD or in person.

The song that flashed me the most when I saw RiR was Sign of the Cross. After that I listened to the studio version and was disappointed. The song has so much energy on stage, but loses all of that on the record... hope they play it live again someday when I'm there!

Oh and Hallowed Be Thy Name of course. I always miss the long "illusiooooon" from Bruce on the studio version. One of the greatest songs on Earth when performed live!
 
I gained a gigantic amount of love for the Wickerman when I saw it live.  Its really awesome live.  No More Lies, Different World, and Blood Brothers are also awesome live when I saw them in toronto in July.  The classics, even though I have heard them a million times, sound bloody awesome live.
 
I loved Revelations and Rime before 2008, but my appreciation for both rose even higher after seeing them live.  This year,
Dance of Death and especially These Colours Don't Run.
 

Listening to Hallowed, on the other hand, has become harder for me after seeing it live, because it always reminds me of the end of the show.
 
El Dorado for sure. I thought it was kinda "meh" when I first heard the mp3, but it was a fairly good tune live.
