Smokers?

I tried smoking when I was a kid (early teens) but never really liked it, so I've never smoked since. It seems to be a great social tool along with drinking but I find it nasty, so I'll pass on that and stick with the beer.

I generally dislike anything that has to do with smoking and try to avoid getting exposed to it as much as possible... although I am quite interested in smoking pot :D
For me, how much I dislike smoking is that if I meet a girl who's hot, has a great personality, is compatible with me and I get along with really well... it would be a deal breaker if she's a chain-smoker even if there's a mutual thing going on between us.

If she smokes but smokes very little, I think things will probably still work out if I like her A LOT :p

Never smoked a cigarette in my life, don't plan to, either. I only took one breath of a cigarette when I was 4 or 5, my grandpa's friend let me take it because I always nagged him. After I almost suffocated from coughing, I never looked back. :D

C'mon guys leave me a couple puffs LOL

@Zare: Yes. Essentially I think we're on some sort of road to hell, regarding smoking-related diseases. Maybe it's something that comes along with progress and capitalism.

Damn! Well done man  :edmetal:

Thanks! I'm still far from being comfortable with it though. It's the agony of the first month as a non smoker, I think. Been there before. I only hope I can keep my focus long enough to reach a safer stage.

I was a smoker for 10 years, 15 a day during the week, 20+ during the weekend. I gave up on the 1st March 1998. Had a few relapses since then, but never more than one once in a blue moon when I was offered one in the pub which I regretted every time. I don't think I'll ever have one again though, the last one was over five years ago and it tasted disgusting to me by then.

I'm going to start off by saying that I'm turning 19 this year, and that I've so far never ever smoked cigarettes or been drinking alcohol, and never will either.

That's why I consider myself being a hypocrite when I say that I have been using snus (that Swedish tobacco thingy) since summer 2008, enjoying smoking water pipe and by agreeing to below quote:

I've smoked for nearly four years now. I've had moments of heavy smoking (up to a pack a day) and moments of very low smoking, like a couple cigarettes in a week. I had quit smoking on June, 11 but then I started again a couple months ago. Do you smoke? Have you ever tried quitting? Would you talk about your smoking experience? (how much does disease risk scare you, for example)
I smoked for nearly 15 years but I'm clean now. Quitting is the hardest thing I've experienced up until now. It took me years and the only thing I can say is that even if you've been clean for years you've got to be careful because it is so easy to start smoking again.
Now, my quest is to stop drinking and it is even harder, as far as I know.  :(

i only smoke bout pack or 2 in a month... I cant understand those people who smoke like 3 packs a day... Hows that even possible?
And ive taken a month or 2 brake from smoking every now and then to save money.... coz basicly i smoke just for the heck of it... so as cliche and stupid it sounds, i could quit if i wanted :P
