Shadow's count (8166) is also genuine, and IIRC used to be much higher.

Actually I did get about 2900 posts added for some reason when my account got messed up (my real post count should be approximately 5350 at the moment) and much of my posts were made in the Madness forum back in the day with Britalian, AM and the others.

AM made most of his posts back at the TEOD forums but I think his count is more or less genuine.

I'm proud to be the cause for Maverick and RW deciding to stop monitoring Madness posts. I got all cocky about my 400+ posts after about two weeks from regitration. 90% of tohse posts were madness...

RW's is by far the most impressive he practically lives on this board, however, if post count shows anything it's consistency, involvement, and longevity more than anything else as we've establish plenty of times post count does not translate into respectability, intelligence, depth and how much greater Adrian Smith is than you.

Of course it doesn't. Consider:

a. A "translation" of post count to a measure a greatness would involve some kind of mathematical formula. Techinically, it would be what mathematicians call a "transformation". Very much akin to functions, like the ones you studied in high school algebra.

b. Adrian Smith's greatness would be a variable in such a function.

c. Adrian Smith is infinitely great. (And infinitely large.)

d. You cannot solve equations that contain infinite values. Mathematics breaks down when considering infinity. (Actually, there are sometimes ways you can handle infinity in math, but it always gets weird.)

Conclusion: Adrian Smith's awesome might is beyond the power of mathematics to quantify. Merely attempting such an activity would likely turn your brain into mashed potatoes. Do not attempt to understand Adrian Smith. All you can do is boggle your mind in worship.

I suppose some advanced mathematicians could attempt it, but it would involve quantifying parts of Adrian Smith at a time, so that when the effort is combined, you have theoretical mathematics...but such philosophy-math is decades away.

Is it not obvious that RW has edited his stats so that "666" appears before his actual post count?

I've been visiting here more than two years and I have about 750 posts, which means I don't spam nearly as much as most people do [!--emo&;)--][img src=\'style_emoticons/[#EMO_DIR#]/wink.gif\' border=\'0\' style=\'vertical-align:middle\' alt=\'wink.gif\' /][!--endemo--]

Fame shouldn't be given to who yells the most or the loudest; it belongs to those who contribute to the discussions.

hmm, that reminds me of that saying "it doesn't matter if you win or lose, but how you play the game". You know who says that Duke? THE LOSERS! that's right! "It is better to be a good loser than to be a bad winner."
"Where did you get that bullshit from?!"
"That tombstone."

I think we'd all agree that the quality of one's posts, rather than the quantity is what is important. 2000+ posts of pure shite is not something to be proud of. However when I look at my own count I do feel terribly inferior. (I must stress a lot if my posts have been in the Madness forum). So why bother having 2000 posts of shite when you can have sub 50 posts of pure qual....er shite. Some of the posts on this site are thought provoking and intelligent. Some are insightful. Some are downright hilarious and some are obvious bollocks.

However I believe that the following formula is true:

sum of all posts (great and not so great) = a rather fantastic site dedicated to the lovers of the greatest metal band in the world.
