Save ten albums!

His name struck fear into hearts of men

Picture the following scenario: A video surfaced showing Donald Trump grabbing Kim Jong Un by the pussy. Kim is enraged, Trump screams fake news and to distract the world, both start launching nukes at each other. Putin sees the golden opportunity and attacks Europe. In short, shit just hit the fan and the Russians are coming.

But fear not! Because Maidenfans.com set up a refugee camp for all you poor souls seeking to evade the apocalypse. @LooseCannon is welcoming everyone because he's a friendly Canadian, @Diesel 11 entertains everyone with brain-melting riddles, and @Perun is paying for the whole thing because that's what Germans do.

However, there is a catch. Because Maidenfans.com is not just charity - we are on a mission to save the cultural heritage of the world through the coming dark ages. Thus, we will only let people in who bring with them ten unique metal albums which they consider worth saving. Don't bother with Maiden, Bruce, Blaze and the other Maiden-related stuff, we already took care of it.

So, consider which ten albums you would take. You cannot name an album someone else already named. It's first come first serve.

And for some reason, our rules state that you can only pick one album per artist for your own list. Picking an artist who appeared on someone else's list is fine, of course.

Also, you can already hear the grenades outside, so hurry up and don't overthink it!

In essence, this is "your top ten non-Maiden albums" with a little spin to it. Tactical voting is encouraged. Yes, it has to be metal, no, I won't be anal about the definition. Try to be spontaneous, take the first ones that come to mind.

My picks, in no particular order:

Annihilator - Alice in Hell
Atlantean Kodex - The White Goddess
Crimson Glory - Crimson Glory

Helloween - Keeper of the Seven Keys: Part I
Black Sabbath - Heaven and Hell
Nightwish - End of an Era
Epica - The Holographic Principle
Mastodon - Leviathan

Not the Russians! :ahhh:

Judas Priest - Defenders of the Faith
Dream Theater - Six Degrees of Inner Turbulence
Sabaton - The Art of War
Diabolical Masquerade - Nightwork
Liquid Tension Experiment - Live in L.A.
Death - Symbolic
Cradle of Filth - Dusk and Her Embrace
Dimmu Borgir - Enthrone Darkness Triumphant
Immortal - At the Heart of Winter
Joe Satriani - Is There Love in Space (one of his more metal-sounding albums, I believe it passes)

It was really difficult to come up with 10 metal albums, all from different artists. I had to resort to albums that I have liked a lot in the past but can barely remember anymore.

I hope someone will pick
Sabbath's Vol. 4 and/or Amorphis - Tales from the Thousand Lakes and/or Iced Earth - Burnt Offerings ! ;-)

@Perun
Great topic!

All 10 I picked are unique now, and a maximum of 1 per band.
