I mourn with you. Much better melodies, much more variation than all other later songs which are more repetitive and less catchy. Also better than the soft, commercial sounding Time Stand Still.
My only quibble with Available Light is the overly lush production — which is my issue with Presto in general.
From a songwriting point of view it is pretty much perfect.
2 out of 3 ain't bad, but Lakeside Park has so many memories (i.e., shining stars on summer nights, willows and the breeze, midway rides, a thousand ten cent wonders, smoking on the pier).
Although it's now a memory, some memories last forever.
(By the way, I am not a big fan of Lakeside Park, but for some reason its lyrics immediately come to mind when the song is mentioned. So in a way I am thankful that it is gone.)Finding My Way (to) Animate The Analog Kid.
