No way Mosh. These two exactly show what Rush were able to do and what Dream Theater never were able to do: Writing some of the best melodic and catchy songs ever.
And the solo in Limelight is top-3 worthy (top-3 of these remaining 7 at least).

First of all, just because it is catchy doesn't mean it is necessarily good. I prefer the solos in YYZ, Tom Sawyer, La Villa Strangiato, and even The Trees to the solo in Limelight. But it is still a good song. Red Sector A is simply not as good as the Trees to me. Just my opinion of course. I love the middle section in The Trees and that alone is enough for me to rank it higher than those songs.

I love that middle section as well. Great build-up. Very dynamic.
But I find like the catchy/melodic side of Rush very important as well, not only the proggy side.
I describe a catchy song as a relatively compact song with grabbing melodies, that I enjoy, and which stick in my head. When that happens, I find it good.

I love Vital Signs. Every time I hear that song I remember the video, that actually got played on MTV pretty frequently, with Neil Peart wearing a Montreal Expos cap. I had the same cap.
