RUSH: 'Clockwork Angels' North American Release Date Revealed

Definitely a Signals fan. The first Rush album I ever bought as a new release, one of the first 10 or 15 albums I ever bought once I started getting serious about music.
Losing it is a fantastic track.

It's all about A Farewell to Kings. Not a bad song on there, and Xanadu is on there, which is perhaps the best song ever written. :D

I'd say that Moving Pictures is the first and last, therefore only Rush album containing very good to great songs only. All its songs I find quite better than:

A Farewell to Kings
Cindarella Man & Madrigal

Hemispheres
Circumstances

Permanent Waves
Entre Nous (I also find The Spirit of Radio overrated and overplayed, I don't like the overly joyful hallelujah vocal melodies).

I love Circumstances and Entre Nous. Both miles ahead of Witch Hunt.

Not in a lifetime. Circumstances has one of the most annoying Rush choruses (terribly sung in recent tours) and Entre Nous has such happy and sweet couplets. The honey and butterflies drip so much from this song that I could never call it better. The thought alone! Yuck.

I prefer the darkness and suspense in Witch Hunt. It's not just that. I find Witch Hunt better in every aspect. Take for instance its build-up! Gigantic. The vocal lines are much better and more melodic. The riffs way cooler as well.

Well we're just going to have to disagree there. I think Witch Hunt is very weak.

We surely hear different, and apparently I enjoy the album more than you do.

I find it a very interesting and daring song with heartpiercing melodies and strong guitar part, matching well with the atmospherical keyboards. I guess the rhythmic beginning had me caught immediately when I first heard it.

By the way, I think it's not only a great song to hear, but also pretty cool to see the guys performing it (gotta love those drum breaks and Lifeson is such an epic wall of sound!):

Some info I found:

-Vocalist Geddy Lee told The Plain Dealer newspaper in a 2011 interview the song's message is even more relevant today than when it was first recorded: "It's one of those songs that means as much today, if not more, considering what's gone on in the world with racial profiling and all these different issues. The sentiment of that song is as appropriate as ever."
-The song was recorded the same night that John Lennon was shot in New York. The band was right in the middle of laying down the tune when they heard the tragic news.

Entre Nous, Cinderella Man, Madrigal >>> Witch Hunt.

But Witch Hunt's great, too. I just happen to really like those other songs.

Circumstance is okay. Great when you hear it once, annoying after several spins.

Oh that's very interesting. And yes, I've listened to several live versions of the song, it's just something I can't get into. I love the rest of Moving Pictures though, maybe my favorite album ever.

That's cool, but if it's true that it is an edit of a longer epic then I'll pass.

These 33 seconds didn't excite me that much, as of yet:

Looking forward to some unexpected stuff, different from the last two albums.

Let it come! :)
