Hahaha I never looked closely at the monsters at the bottom there. I currently identify with the orangutan-looking dude at the far left. :P

This song is one of the greatest puzzles in music history for me. Not only did it become Maiden's most popular, most known song, but also one of the most iconic songs in classic heavy metal. I never understood why. The song is a real turd, one of Maiden's weakest 80s songs, and also one of the worst songs on the album (along with Gangland and Invaders).
The lyrics are cliched, the melodies are all annoying (replace the guitars with acoustics and you get a happy boy scout children song), the riffs lead nowhere, the chorus is boring and cheesy. Yes, you can still scream it after 35 beers. That's probably the reason why it is so popular. But it's not a sign of quality. Quite the opposite.
The fact that you hear this song at every Maiden show, every metal disco night and every party does not help.
