I'm from Northern Ireland and there's definitely levels of cuntishness round my way.
Like some friends will greet eachother with "well, cunt." Or if my amigo says something silly like "England are gonna win the World Cup" I might respond with "fuck up, you daft cunt."
But yes, for some people that word is an absolute no-no and I do believe the English take it a bit more seriously than we do. In the case of Bruce the Greek I'd wager he said it cos it was the most offensive word in his lexicon.
But I doubt he hates all Greeks. Just a little diva tantrum.

I think he would have had hundreds of different ways to curse and rant, and everyone would have found it understandable or even funny.
What he said was one of the few options to made some uninvolved people feel insulted.

The joke was that maybe his wife didn't like him saying positive things, political or not, about a Palestinian advocate.
It's still a treat that makes the Greeks feel special. He does it specially for them.
We are not talking about extreme right. Bruce Dickinson has not spread any far-right agenda on any platform (Brexit was not exclusive to far-right).
Your problem with Bruce is that he's just not how you'd like him to be. In all honesty, he most probably wouldn't like you either.

Agreed that there's nuances to the use of cunt, and can even be used to have no offence intended at all in some situations.
But used in anger, as Bruce did, I would consider it to be the most offensive word in English baring bigotted slurs (if used towards a women you could probably consider it a bigotted slur too).
