We follow the band for so long and/or so closely that we think we know them.
But what we see from the outside and what is really going on behind the scenes are often two different things - we must never completely forget that.
I actually believe that Bruce isn’t xenophobic.
But somehow it’s always bothered me a bit how you can have a happy relationship with someone as far to the right as Leana (there have been discussions about this here as well) when you yourself think so fundamentally differently about such a basic attitude toward life.
I certainly couldn’t do that.

I have friends whose couples have the exact opposite political views to theirs. In some cases that difference is radical. I'm talking about long-term relationships. Many of them just don't talk politics at home. And they can even laugh about it.

My wife and I are on opposite ends of the political spectrum but we love each other and respect each other's values.
I'm one of 8 cousins that have a group text chat and we just don't talk about politics because we all love each other and know exactly how quickly those conversations get toxic. Best decision ever.

It's obviously possible. Personally I could never be with someone who has the "exact opposite political views", what's the overlap then? That would be far too shallow a relationship for me, but more power to them if it works for them, I suppose. Political views aren't just opinions, they are a representation of how one views the world. To completely ignore them and never talk about them means ignoring a huge chunk of your partner's character, their views, their opinions, their values, and their beliefs.

Also, another reason why "everything is so serious these days" is the global rise of fascism we are experiencing right now. There's a massive difference between "we should or shouldn't use tax money to improve roads and pay for school lunches" and "deny people life-saving healthcare, deny crises like climate change or pandemics, blaming things on Jewish space lasers" and so on. The former isn't seen as much anymore nowadays, it's mostly the latter. And that directly impacts the lives of millions of people. It's easier to ignore politics when you aren't affected by the direct actions of your fellow men.

I think they should of gone for MK Dons/Coventry stadium rather than Knebworth, both of those stadiums are around 30-35k which i think they would of filled comfortably rather this Knebworth debacle.
