RUN FOR YOUR LIVES 2025 Tour Thread *SPOILERS INSIDE*

Some claims on the fanclub that Maiden won't do Download next year either.
I doubt they will return to Donington after playing big stadium show and a few other dates in the UK this year. The tour went very successful and probably Maiden will return to UK with some other open air soloed shows, maybe in Welsh as Slayer did this Summer. And just a little detail: since Netherlands gig Maiden stopped publishing audience pictures from the current shows. I can't imagine why?

I would pay good money to see Maiden perform in Welsh.

Let's not start any conspiracy theories. Nicko was just joking about the size of Simon's kit. He also said he was "doing a splendid job and thank you all for welcoming him into the Maiden family." Stepping down was his decision, he said he went to Steve about it. He also just said he didn't want to tour like Maiden does anymore.
yeah but saying stuff like he’s not me and all, idk why would you say that or even joke about it. Im also not starting any conspiracy theories as it’s just an opinion and I may not be right. It’s just his comments and so called jokes that don’t exactly sit well but let’s see

He also discussed about Bruce’s slip ups. And took a shot at Simon. Beginning to feel that Steve kinda asked him to leave just cause he couldn’t cope with faster songs. Could be wrong here but it’s beginning to feel that way now. Think the whole “retirement due to health” is just a facade. That could also explain him saying that could drum on a “few songs” for a potential new album (again maybe slower songs like Parchment, Celts, etc). Let’s see.
This is definitely not the case, listen to his Trunk interview. The problem is not the speed, but doing the fills to a satisfactory level. He also carefully explains when he for himself decided that he couldn't do it anymore, as his body could not recuperate in between shows due to the constant travel. That was in Sidney, by the time he told the band they were already in the US. One should also not forget we are comparing a bunch one-off shows that are only half the duration of a Maiden show, and don't include rigorous traveling.

That wasn't a smart interview from Nicko! He manages to sound too old-fashioned for Maiden. Who would have guessed that I would ever have that thought about Nicko? That's quite an achievement.
And yes, what could be more hilariously funny than pointing out the mistakes of others in the band?
No more Botox for his forehead!

Then maybe there are feelings somewhere in Nicko that prevented him from coming across as just witty and light-hearted?
I am a bit sceptical to just say there in fact is nothing when so many people perceived it in a certain way.
At least when these people all know and like the person that spoke.

I think you could say that the interview wasn't very smart.
Perhaps surprising for someone who has been a professional musician for a long time.
Because it's perfectly clear that in the situation Maiden and Nicko are in right now, certain comments would be picked up, and that it's better to be a little careful if it is important to you not to come across the wrong way.

But maybe they could still do some European dates or festivals. No Download next year could potentially mean a 3rd leg of the tour, unfortunately.
It’s crazy to think you have to go back to the Early Days tour in 2005 to find the last tour that didn’t extend beyond one calendar year. I know some tours changed set lists and stage designs, but they were still labelled as the same tour. E.g. The Final Frontier tour.

It would be a shame to extend this to 3 years, but I can totally see them doing it. 2027 will probably look like what 2020 was going to be: an tour consisting of Asia, Oceania and European festivals.

Man, I just thought the same. Let's see:
2025: European Leg
2026: North and South Americas (as we saw in 2019)
2027: Asia/Oceania and European Second Tour.
Three years, 5 continents, 102 - 105 dates. ROD mentioned about a big 50 Anniversary Tour around the world.

Nicko has said in an interview that he preffers the old backdrop.
Fair enough, maybe the band themselves too, but it's undeniable that with screens the art looks much better. Bruce is a fan of both now, I assume.

I think it's just that the band, mainly Bruce and Steve didn't want to make compromises with the playing and had no problem continuing without him, although they said otherwise, but Nicko couldn't do long tours anymore. If anything, that's it. There's nothing, but Nicko really wanted to continue and said he's missing playing with the band.
HHad I been an ex-member of a band I'd be pissed at and wanted to beef with, I'd sooner associate myself with another band instead of playing the tracks with an own recreational cover band
Well, we have all the examples. They and he say he's still part of the band: the fan club and I guess playing on some new songs.
Now I thought about how Nicko would change other old classic band with his playing.
Nicko played Moonchild at 2008 speeds with Titanium Tart this month, and played Mariner almost a minute FASTER than the album version. Meanwhile Maiden's current version of Mariner is a minute SLOWER than the album version.
Nicko can absolutely still play the faster songs. It is clear that Nicko was NOT the reason Maiden has drastically slowed down their tempos in recent years- if he was, why are they still playing so slowly with Simon?
2008 speeds, are you sure? We all knew that Bruce, Adrian and I guess Steve are responsible for the tempos. Is Mariner that slower, maaan. Btw, I think Nicko played even faster his most recent solo show and he is more lively than TFP tour.
That said, Simon IMO should be paying more attention to the drumming details, especially Nicko stuff, he seems to me like he is borderline clumsy during some fills. I don't know why.
Agree about the details, no doubt. The clumsy fills, dunno, that's his overall style? Nicko's drumming fills/groove are unique.

Well, 2 years is normal (TFF was odd), and if the other legs have some changes is better. 1-year Hits tours would have been better for new music, but the band is very successful. I don't think anyone wants 3rd legs, but it depends on the ideas and changes I guess - like if they do Part 2 and heavily change the set. Yeah, it could happen like it was planned in 2020 (promoting new single or not), but it could be like 2022 or 2024 with more dates. Both are possible, ofc, but the latter is more likely, LOTB's 3rd leg was specific. ME's was just a lazy move from the band.

But Bruce mentioned that the 2026 leg is going to be big, so it should only be a 2-years tour, right? Also, not more so the tour poster written years, rather I doubt would ''start to tease'' if the tour will end in 2027. Too early to return in Europe, well, the dates won't be many. Festivals? Not the UK.

The tour is ending in 2026. It's not "Run For Your Lives Tour 2025-2027".

Next year will surely include Europe, probably 20/25 shows. Mostly festivals, since their offers will be higher than ever. Some stadiums will appear as well (they don't have festivals for them in countries like Portugal or Italy, and I don't think they will be in Europe in August, which rules out Wacken).

Then they will probably take a month or so off and head to America and maybe, just maybe, Australia/Oceania.

I would expect a routing similar to 2022, but with less shows in Europe.

How comes one of the smaller German shows is in Berlin, a capital city? When they play stadiums in other cities there. Its not like the opposite of what happens in the UK where London is the bigger show.

Have noticed for other bands like nightwish who draw less crowd in Berlin compared to other Germani cities.

Robbie Williams has played the same venue two times instead of the stadium. Makes me think that it wasn't available.
