Great for hearing the precision in Murray & Smith. But woah that tempo! Some may prefer it slow, but compared to 2008 and 2016, what a contrast. Quite understandably it sounds like Simon playing to the guitarists rather than the way Nicko drove it all.

The big screen indeed looks great even in daylight (better than a backdrop), the main stage screens are a bit worse. I like Maiden to keep the screens for the next tour because they have potential and a song can have more than one art, which is always cool.
- I just love how the stage looks for Powerslave, it's the best for it and so worth it!


Btw, Bruce again said ''see you again'' after the latest show. :)

I prefer Powerslave faster. Can't top the 2008 versions or Nicko's playing. 2016 was great too. Contrast? In what favor? I think Bruce and Adrian might want some songs slower.

I think it's great at the album tempo, and some sections still sound a little faster. For me, the only song I think is too slow on the original recording is Revelations. The rest I'm completely happy with.

I have to say, some of the shows I have seen this year were better than the shows I attended from 2011 to 2016. And Stavanger was probably on par with London 2017 and Tallinn and Helsinki 1 in 2018.

I was replying to @Helmuth Von Moltke's comment comparing the performance of the song this year with that of 2008 and 2016.

At the end of the day, the comparisons are inevitable, especially considering that first encore. :P

I get your point, but it's not always "the earlier, the better". I vastly prefer how Bruce sounded from 95 to 2008-ish compared to any of his performances in the 80s for example. There are more than 20 years between AMOLAD and TNOTB and I'll take his voice on the former any day of the week ;)

Bruce dropped the scream at the end of Hills, I wonder if he'll do it for Aces soon. Too much screams in the set? Btw, the main screens with flames would have been fitting for Number, but I guess they did it because of the single's art. Some actual hills would have been cool. Number's is like Hallowed's.

I have to say it's odd listening to Hallowed without Nicko's drumming.

Aces High is the obvious one. At least now it's more of a Bruce problem. It was worse in 2022 imo. Also, Run to the Hills is another one. Hallowed and Murders are too difficult for Bruce nowadays, too. It's only logical that most of the songs were better in 2008 (almost 20 years earlier), but most of the songs still sound fantastic. Powerslave, Phantom and SSOASS in particular are still 10/10 nowadays.

Glad I'm not the only one. I'm feeling less enthusiastic than TFP Tour, which kind of makes me sad. Can't put my finger on it why though.
 
I have to admit the same thing. Even though I'm gonna attend both Stockholm shows, the hype from when the tour started faded pretty quickly for me..

But I know that when Doctor Doctor starts the excitements gonna be there.
