I see The Mob Rules as the inspiration for 'Arry's galloping bass and I am sure it had major impact when he wrote The Trooper. One of the best instrumental parts Sabbath ever did. Thundering groove underneath that solo.
Dio's vocal is awesome when he lounges that part. Hell, I'm going to play it now!

LetItBeatles, I think you need to listen to Rainbow. Because anyone that has actually heard Stargazer would not be voting for it.

All you of you, I think you need to listen to Dio. Do your homework, properly.
Only 1 or 2 (maybe 3) of his solo songs will reach the final.
(Yes I am also guilty of voting for Dio tracks, but I'm trying to protect some of my favourites, e.g. in this case We Rock).

Egypt not even reaching the quarter finals... I find that the biggest farce ever in the history of Maidenfans survivals. :nuts:
 
I'm pretty positive the LetItBeatles is trolling the polls. He votes for nearly everything from Mindcrime in mine despite being allowed 3 votes. I simply stopped counting votes from him.

Because clearly our votes are cast out of ignorance rather than a different opinion/taste, right?

I for one DO like his solo material, but over his entire career there has been some pretty hefty tracks. I have "done my homework". One of my top10 Dio isn't even IN the survivor, 4 have already gone.

Sorry for the somewhat bitter post (which shouldn't be taken too seriously, because it's indeed about taste), but personally I'd say Dio has some songs that are worthy competitors to his best Sabbath and Rainbow songs and I wanted to utter my surprise that many of you disagree on that.
