Random trivia

Interesting subject. I googled a bit and found some funny posts on another forum
(source: http://www.thehappyextremist.com/forum/ ... -5299.html )

person A:
"A volunteer army is always better than a conscripted one. Switzerland is now so full of namby-pamby pace-flag waving ponces that Leichtenstein could probably conquer the place in two weeks.
Trivia - biggest volunteer army in history - India (v Japan, WW2) approx 3,000,000"

person B:
"I think if you check the U.S. Army during WW II had in excess of three million volunteers -- Of course, the Army in those days included what is now the Air Force -- and over four million draftees.

I think the grand total was something like Armed Forces was about 12 million men by 1945 -- and most of the Navy and Marine Corps were volunteers...At least several million there.

The "small" Marine Corps in those days had fielded over six divisions and was about as large as the U.S. Army is today."

person C:
"Schweiz has always relied on geography to keep herself relatively safe. Not counting Hannibal or anything. :D"

Let's try this. This object outside the Kuper belt, has been theorized to be a potential hazard and was a possible cause of planetary extinctions?

Hey, shouldn't Perun be answering this one? :P

It's John I, younger brother of Richard Lionheart. He got the nickname 'Lackland' because he was the younger son and because he lost territory in France. Apparently he was also not good at military things either. He's the 'phony King of England' with his thumb in his mouth according to Disney. :P

wtf, where did the answer go?
In response LC,  I received a personal e-mail stating how I offened someone here in this thread.  Quote: "What if my last name was Lackland and here you are making a parody of it"  So I e-mailed them back nicely and said that it was not directed at them...blah blah blah!  The problem was.....I got a mailer demon back!  UNKnown sender!  wtf!  In pure furstration I wiped my post clean.  I have rolled my eyes back so much that I got a nose bleed.  What else can I say?  I am new here!  This is truly my first forum.

Wtf?  Hahahaha.  That's hilarious.  Yeah.  If it's a moderator contacting you, you'll know.  Imagine how terrible it would actually be to have the last name Lackland.  I hate those people named Lacklands.

Go on, send me anonymous emails.  I'll make fun of you more, stupid Lackland folks.  And if you're going to have such a *terrible* last name, why don't you go ahead and learn the history about it!

In short...fuck people who can't read the internet and see the context of posts, and don't ever listen to people sending you emails or PMs about your post, unless they're me, Perun, SMX, or RW.  Or Shadow, but he doesn't really do anything around here...
