Random trivia

1. Smith
2. Johnson
3. Williams
4. Jones
5. Brown
6. Davis
7. Miller
8. Wilson
9. Moore
10. Taylor

These were the ten most frequent surnames in the United States in 1990. The site where I found this compares the frequency with the George Washington era, year 1790. The ranking was almost the same, with the exception of the last two names.

Now, among the presidents, we have two Johnsons, a Wilson, a Taylor...

With this self-guidance technique I came to the conclusion that I'm on the wrong track. Consider this post just random trivia [!--emo&:D--][img src=\'style_emoticons/[#EMO_DIR#]/biggrin.gif\' border=\'0\' style=\'vertical-align:middle\' alt=\'biggrin.gif\' /][!--endemo--]

Actually, Woodrow Wilson held a doctorate in Political Science and was a professor at three universities before entering politics

They are all men!!! Is that why it is so strange? [!--emo&:P--][img src=\'style_emoticons/[#EMO_DIR#]/tongue.gif\' border=\'0\' style=\'vertical-align:middle\' alt=\'tongue.gif\' /][!--endemo--]

None of them is called Adrian Smith which is even more strange [!--emo&:D--][img src=\'style_emoticons/[#EMO_DIR#]/biggrin.gif\' border=\'0\' style=\'vertical-align:middle\' alt=\'biggrin.gif\' /][!--endemo--]

LOL@syl!!!

Adrian Smith doesn't need such puny mortal titles as "President"

But I think maybe my question is much too vague. So here's the answer I was going for: No president of the USA has ever been named Bob. (Robert)

There hasn't even been a Vice POTUS named Bob.

The highest ranking people named Bob in US History have been Secretaries of State. The very first one, Robert Livingston (1781-83), Robert Smith (1809-11), Robert Bacon (1909), and Robert Lansing (1915-20)

It's high time this tragedy was reversed!

Bob Dole ran for president in 1996, but he was running against Bill Clinton and therefore didn't really have a chance.

Ok, new question, ahem *clears throat*,
What is the state capitol of New York state?

Edit: I realised I already asked that question before.

New one: In the last World Cup of Soccer (football, for you Euro-folk), one participating country's flag was left off of the official souvenir balls which FIFA was sponsoring.

Which country was it, and why?

A wild guess... could it be that the Saudi clerics or the government did not want the Holy Words of the Qur'an (which are on the flag) to be kicked by foot?

Riddle me this:

Why isn't Hawaii Hawai'i. and what is persumed to be Hawai'i.?

(Try to find out what "Hawai'i." is)
