Fantastic song from one of my favorite albums. Here's the link for the song: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hO2qC1Q1QIU4

This song has it all: both harsh and clean vocals, fast and slow parts, amazing orchestrations and guitars and interesting and varied drums (that's a lot of AND's for one sentence :D) Also, production is top-notch. Harsh vocalist is least good part of this band but I gradually got used to his vocals. Clean vocalist is amazing and I would love to hear him in a power/heavy metal band, because he doesn't get much attention here.

If you like this song, you must check out Children Of The Dark Waters album, which is a masterpiece of symphonic death metal :shred:

10/10, of course!

Never heard of the band or the song at all.  First thoughts:

I love the harsh vocals actually, they sound really good. Almost black-metallish as opposed to death or melodeath.
The clean vocalist was good too, and I quite liked the slow section in the middle.

Some very interesting picks recently! This was a good one, sorry but not as good as Foro's. 7/10 on first listen. One day I'll get around to trying the album out :)

I haven't been contributing much to these Random Song threads, but...

I seem to recall that the first such thread said "songs that most members here will know". I've seen some choices that I'd say were mildly obscure, but this is the first one where I have no clue. I looked at the thread title, and didn't know which is the band name and which is the song.

As a moderator, I'm asking that you guys avoid these not-well-known tracks. There are hundreds, maybe thousands of very famous songs we can all discuss. If you're trying to turn people on to new music, this is probably the wrong way.

Again, to quote the first post in the first random song thread:

Only rule is to pick songs you think a majority of forum users will be familiar with.

So, go for it, discuss this tune... but let's get back to more famous stuff next.

Guess it's my turn now. I suppose we shouldn't be too careful with that familiarity thing, because otherwise we'd only be having a run of Metallica, Dio and Judas Priest songs.

I like discussing songs we all know, but I've found to like the threads where the songs are obscure, such as the one Forostar posted. It is a very good way to discover new music. I suggest a mixture. But I get what you mean.
I've found that I like symphonic death metal. This is the type of song that makes me like Symphonic death metal. I think the singer is awful though, but then again I don't really like Death metal singers. The clean singer is really good though and the part after the slow part is my favorite.  :rocker: I love the groove, the production is very good and the guitars are great. It is actually the first symphonic death metal song I have heard that I would like to learn on guitar. The drums also kept my attention through most of the song, which isn't something that happens when I listen to a song for the first time. 8/10

First time I'm hearing this song and band. Also first time I'm seeing this band's name

That's not my type, sorry. Didn't enjoy it, but production is good. 5/10.

Both very good songs.  I really liked the Septic Flesh one.
