Just heard this for the first time. I love the riff, and Dio sounds great. (As always, I've never heard a bad Dio performance) One of the highlights of the album for me. 10
Really like the moody intro, when the song speeds up and the drums kick in around the 2:12 mark, it really starts to rock, love the bass line and guitar riffing/soloing, like the lyrics and a fine performance from RJD. 9/10.
That solo part in the title track still is one of the best moments of that album for me (together with the doomy Sign of the Soutern Cross, and the song of this topic). Not only the solo: I love that thundering bass underneath.
Agree 100% - this is one of their best albums, Sign of the Southern Cross is fabulous, Falling off the Edge is wonderful too. This is the doom that doom metal aspires to be (and only a select few, like Candlemass and DoomSword, actually achieve).
