Questions, questions, questions...

Hi all, first time poster long time observer... Hopefully this topic is in the proper place? Anyway, I was wondering if any of you fine folks could help a fellow Maiden-Fan with a couple questions?

1. I recently upgraded my old Piece of Mind CD with the digitally remastered (enhanced) version and noticed that the last five or six seconds of The Trooper is cut off and appears on the beginning of the Still Life track, which sounds terrible if I want to listen to, or copy, one of those songs but not the other. Is my disc an oddity or are they all like this? I plan to buy a new one if it's not the norm.

2. Are there any songs from Iron Maiden and/or Killers sung by Bruce Dickenson available in the digitally remastered format? If so, where?

3. Not having any of my own to trade, where would a shlub like me be able to aquire a couple Maiden audio and/or DVD "boots"?

Thanks for your time, I appreciate it greatly,
Todd

Prowler and Charlotte The Harlot are available on The B-side of the Beast CD (Eddie Archive Box) They are re-recorded in 1988 as B-side of The Evil That Men Do single and I'm pretty sure that they are remastered.

i bought Raising Hell DVD which is considered a bootleg at Suncoast...i guess its an "official Bootleg". good dvd though

The Raising Hell DVD was the first one to be released offically. If you're looking for other stuff, official or not, I suggest you get in touch with the webmaster of the [a href=\'http://www.maidenspecialist.de.vu\' target=\'_blank\']MaidenSpecialist[/a] website. He's a really cool bloke and may be able to help you.

Thanks Masentak and maidenmaniac for the heads up on the B-sides as well as the Raising Hell DVD. I actually have both items. I didn't think the Prowler and Charlotte were digitally remastered simply because they sounded sub-par compaired to all the Enhanced CD's. I hear there's a Bruce studio version of Wrathchild out there somewhere however... I'll see if I can track that down.

I have Raising Hell somewhere on VHS as I taped it from Pay Per View when it was first released, it was supposed to be Bruces departure from Maiden. With the acception of Bruces decapitation, I thought the rest of the Simon Drake stuff was a bunch of fluff. I don't suppose the DVD release of this seperates the illusionist stuff from the concert footage does it?

Thanks for the link Maverick, I'll check it out.

I forgot that I also have Bruce's audition (twillingt zone, killers and wrathchild) but the sound is not good as it could be. I also have a bunch of bootlegts from all tour.

the Raising Hell DVD doesnt seperate Simon's disturbing nonsense from the concert...

the wrathchild 99 can be found on the US (Portrait/Columbia) version of Ed Hunter as a hidden track and as a radio promo cd called Wrathchild 99

And I got it for few bucks on E-bay!

Why have I never heard of that version of Wrathchild?

Is the Raising Hell DVD really official? I saw it down at a record store the other day (together with the unofficial Live After Death and 12 Wasted Years DVDs) for the horrendous sum of 25 Euros. Since I don't have a VCR, this would be the only way of getting it, I suppose, but I wonder if it's worth the price.

BTW, welcome aboard, futureboy! [!--emo&:)--][img src=\'style_emoticons/[#EMO_DIR#]/smile.gif\' border=\'0\' style=\'vertical-align:middle\' alt=\'smile.gif\' /][!--endemo--]

The DVD version of Raising hell is a bootleg. Maiden have only released it on VHS as far as i know.

and btw, i have wrathchild with bruce from the rehearsings before the brave new world tour. I don't know if it's the same as the wratchild 99 one, but i don't think so, because i think this one was recorded after that.
