Question about The Soundhouse Tapes CD

In the "Update 1" of The Iron Maiden Companion, it says that the number of cds was limited to 1000... is this true? I always thought it was 6666 copies. Does anyone have the letter that was sent to the people that didn't send the money on time? I have this cd. Heres how it worked:
You had to buy 6 Maiden vinyl replica cd`s. Each had a token that came with it. Once you had 6 you then had to send in payment for $6.66 (US dollars). Thats how you got the cd. This promo was limited to the US only and there were only 1000 of these printed up.

Wish I would have bought more of them. Oh well, but it is a very cool item.

I won the cd through ebay a couple of years ago. How do you know it was limited to 1000?

I had read that there was only 1000 copies on a promo somewhere. I cant remember if it was on the tokens that came with the vinyl replicas or if it was somewhere else. Its been a few years since I bought this one and I dont have any of the tokens left (I just checked). I only bought 6 of the replica cd`s, just enough to get the Soundhouse cd.

I know that the total number was not 6666 however.
Just did a search for it on yahoo and couldnt get any info on the actual number of copies that were printed. It seems like it should be 2000 copies, if they wanted to make the replica true to form.

Just curious, what did you pay for your copy? I figure I paid, after buying 6 replicas and sending in 6.66, approximately 90.66 (US dollars)

Try asking Chris at [a href=\'http://www.troopersounds.com\' target=\'_blank\']http://www.troopersounds.com[/a]. He`d probably know.

[!--emo&:)--]/smile.gif\' border=\'0\' style=\'vertical-align:middle\' alt=\'smile.gif\' /][!--endemo--] cool! 666 copies!

Wow. If it is really only 666 copies then this ones gonna be worth a bundle in a few years. [!--emo&:D--]/biggrin.gif\' border=\'0\' style=\'vertical-align:middle\' alt=\'biggrin.gif\' /][!--endemo--]

What does the companion update have it valued at? (I dont have my copy yet)

nope... they say that they dont include prices cause they may vary. I emailed him though asking about the number of copies and he said he had information from someone inside Sony that in truth they were 2000 copies, although 666 was the official number

nope, they just gave away to the public 2000 and said that they gave away 666. It sounds classier. Besides, they could have accompanied it with a numbered certificate. thats the only way I'd believe that they were really 666. Note that some of the copies were for Japan and included strange world as well. they went on ebay for 1/10th the price of the rest of the copies because they were not true to the original release I guess
