The album version of 2 Minutes to Midnight is absolutely GREAT—no question. Same goes for The Wicker Man on the album, it’s a killer track. But I have to admit, I’ve always felt that 2 Minutes to Midnight doesn’t quite shine in a live setting. It just lacks some of the punch or tightness it has on the record. The Wicker Man, on the other hand, holds up pretty well live.

Still, I voted for 2 Minutes—because that studio version is just perfect.

Two great songs, hard pick. When it comes to cons (minor details but since it's a close call...), The Wicker Man has the blatant rip off of Running Wild. On the other hand, 2MTM's initial riff is a tad bit too generic. Hey, don't get me wrong: once the bass makes the first doodle and the vocals enter it serves its purpose 100% and the whole thing kicks massive ass up till the chorus (and that bridge!), but the sections featuring the main riff are a bit on the nose. So, even though I think The Wicker Man's only "sin" is a bit more serious, I think I enjoy it a tad bit more... it gets my vote by a whisker.

2MTM — the chorus has such a great bass line. Actually, Steve’s bass kicks ass that whole song.

The Wicker Man is also quite good but 2MTM is better in my opinion.

Both are classics and anthems with great riffs, choruses, tempo, verses and solos. My answer would be both, it's close, but I just love Wicker Man. What an impact.
