I saw someone had posted a topic on Iron Maiden podcasts, but this is a 'general podcast' category.

What I'm wondering is if anyone listens to podcasts, and what are your top 5 (if you even listen to that many).  I just recently started to play with this and haven't really found too much yet.  A Kerrang! podcast (haven't listened yet) and one called Talking Metal -- that was ok so far-- plus Maximum PC 'No BS Podcast' which is just ranting, mostly, are all I've gotten so far.

I have tried to listen to several hard rock/and sports podcasts but have a hard time getting through them.   The ones I run across seem to just be a summary of stuff I can read myself, annoyong hosts, or too long.  I would be interested in finding some good ones to listen to in the car.  about the one exception (if you like the band Kiss), is Podkisst, they do a nice job of getting guests, playing rare demos/recording, and digging up info I had not know before.   I would love to find one like that for Maiden.

I listen to the NHL Hour podcast, Wil Wheaton's Radio Free Burrito (when it gets updated), occasionally to SMODCast. Aside from that, I'm simply not actually listening to stuff enough of the time to want to go out of my way to listen to them.

Yeah, I get that... I hadn't had a lot of time to devote to it, but now that I'm driving a lot, by myself, I have more time to listen.  Local radio is shit.  I like to listen to music when driving, but sometimes its nice to learn something new.

Hey.

I listen to an NFL podcast in my language that goes through everything from the draft to game previews and interviews. It helps me stay updated without waddling through the NFL news sites jungle.

The other podcast I'm using is a Couch to 5K podcast. A running podcast that takes you, if you're an absolute begginer, from 60 second runs to being able to run 5 Ks in 9 weeks. I'm on Week 7 right now and would not have been able to do it without this podcast. Its set to pretty tame generic techno music, but it works for running. The best part is that the host keeps track of when you have to run and when you have to stop when you're doing intervals walk/run in the first weeks. No looking at a watch or counting in your head, just put in the headphones and off you go  :ok:
