Actually, besides forgetting the lyrics early on, he sounds fantastic.
Yeah, his lower range is still strong, but he's not looking good. He looks like a slow-motion DINOSAUR surrounded by some high schoolers who just learned the song that day.

It's hard to believe that some people still praise Paul's current voice but slam Blaze.
At least Blaze sounds like he gives a shit about what he's performing.

Who praises Paul's current voice. I liked his voice in Maiden and some of his early solo stuff, but he sounds (and not to mention looks) like shit and has for some time

I read some comments on some articles when The Book of Souls was announced saying that Paul is the better vocalist of both Bruce and Blaze.
It might have been on Blabbermouth, so that probably explains it.

Well if we're talking purely Maiden albums, then yes Paul is better than Blaze. If we're talking current singers, Paul isn't even in the conversation. In fact the two are opposites. Paul peaked in Maiden and got worse from there, Blaze on the other hand didn't sound too great in Maiden but improved a ton on his solo albums.

I don't find it sad in the sense that he can sing when sober.. He is genuinely a good singer when he lays off the booze (which isn't often mind)
