I am not saying it's going to work but in theory I can still hope that more than 2 songs can be promoted from one of the first two albums (minimally two can be promoted). I am not sure if I'll do this when the next albums come on, and didn't plan to do it now either, but since Knick did it twice (he did it in the previous round; you liked his post :D), I wanted to do this as as well.
 
I liked his post due to the fact that he didn't vote for Still Life songs, however it's still counter-productive voting for all songs from an album :P

Btw. the only way an album can get more than 2 songs promoted to the finals is if they survive till the end of the album rounds, which is very far fetched.
 
Voting for all songs is such a throwaway. You might as well be saying you want all the songs from the album to move on. It basically cancels out all your votes.
 
Had no idea it was played that much. Is it even on any of the DVDs? That album in general is sorely underrepresented live and I imagine we'll see a lot less of it as time goes on.
 
@Night Prowler: It's a long way, but if they make it halfway (or earlier) that'd be good enough for me as well.

No, this is about what's happening between albums. Voting for every song from one album that's left (I didn't do this with a whole album, I didn't start this in the previous round!) means that every song from that album is found worse than every song from the album(s) I am not voting for. That's exactly how Knick looked at it in the previous round:

I'm not sure what you're saying. Try to think of it in simpler terms: Lets say it's just you and me voting. You vote for everything from Still Life, which means everything from Still Life has 100% of the votes. Then I vote for White Cluster and Benighted. So the only songs that get eliminated are the ones I voted for, since voting for every song just leveled the playing field back to 0. You might as well not even vote. In the bigger picture, it works the same way. For those voting for every song on the album, the results would end up being the same with or without their vote.

No, because it's about the total amount of votes that go to one song. When one song has more votes than one other, it has a bigger chance to be eliminated.
So, yes I agree with you that it is a game that depends on what others do, but I disagree that what I am aiming for can't happen.

I realize you indeed might not understand it but I think have explained it well enough. Important is that I know what I am doing. For me it works, even if others don't see it (these are the best tactics :D ).

I think I have said enough about it now. Yesterday showed me that at some point, I just need to let it go.
 
We can see that it works for you. The idea that if you would not have voted at all, that this would not make a difference, is not true, because then Under The Weeping Moon and perhaps also Black Rose Immortal would not so much be at death row, this round. One vote less for these songs might make a difference.

I've decided to add Blackwater Park and Deliverance at the same time, since adding just BWP would amount to only 12 songs. Extended round again!
 
Opeth takes time to digest, it's very complex (although not as complex as The Fugitive).

Also, I'm going to Croatia in a couple of hours so I wouldn't be able to update earlier anyway :P See y'all on Sunday :D
