Operation Northwoods

I have continually over the last several months studied and studied on things, not just surrounding 9/11, but our entire government (U.S.) and other things as well

I feel it is my duty to let everything important be heard by those who will read it. I live truthfully any chance i can, and this is one of those times.

You don't have to read anything i post if it makes you feel uneasy

But from now on i will be posting crucial things that need to be read, heard and learned

Don't be a sheep like the rest of the world, have self, think for yourself, and be a real person

So basically what this is , is a story older than time
Why is it so hard for people to believe that their own government would want to harm them?

I mean seriously... they government doesn't truly give a shit about the middle and lower classes. Most of those elitists care about one thing. and that one thing is money, which is power.

Let us not forget that CORRUPTION can happen to anyone who is weak. So why do we think that discludes our government? A bit naive arent we?

Theres so many novels, movies and other things that give us a glimpse of what the world is coming to...

Aldous Huxley's "Brave New World"
"Fahrenheit 451" by Ray Bradbury

more recently... and very very important for our BRITISH members...

"V for Vendetta"

im sure you are getting familiar to your CCTV cameras that are everywhere, and some even now start to bark orders at you

The problem with people is that your freedom will not be stolen away from you all at once. It will be gradually taken, and each step the government will give you a nice excuse...

but we MUST remember... that just because there are certain elitists who are in control over the overal scheme of things, dont forget that others arent neccesarily in on it... they are just sheep, they follow orders and dont think for themselves... if you continue to live your life that way you will only contribute to the downfall of mankind

I could write for a million years,
instead.
i want you to get mad. get angry with the way things are. no, dont start violence. dont riot. just get mad. and think of ways to do something truthfully. no stooping down to lower levels and no standing idley by.

thanks for listening,

peace :)

I must admit, as a Brit - and supposedly living in a Big Brother state (20% of the worlds surveillance cameras are trained on UK cities) - I have no issues with these CCTV's plotted about. I will go as far as saying that, yes, they do serve a purpose - for security. We have had examples of people in the UK who are drunk, got mixed up with something or the other and lo and behold assaulted by a Police officer. I do remember one incident of some man who was too drunk to resist the continual kicks and punches from a sober officer - although not captured on CCTV, rather by an amateur film maker - and another of a drunk woman been beaten whilst been arrested (the later is debatable whether excessive force was used or not - apparently). For the sake of these people, we can't loose sight of who they have benefited from been on film.

A lot of people also voice concerns about their movements been tracked by CCTV - yet these same people use mobile phones and pay for their goods using credit/debit cards. This is more a case of unnecessary surveillance as everything right down to what toothpaste you use is monitored.

But, don't let this eat you up. You're right, we have a voice and if you do feel you liberty is been eroded, speak up. Most of us live in democracies where you can vote out the people you hold responsible for this "erosion", so use it.

However, take a lesson from Mohamed al-Fayed. This man is going to kill himself to try and prove a conpspiracy theory as fact - the conspiracy that his son and Princes Diana were murdered - not simply killed in a road traffic accident.

One correction to one of the links you posted; Operation Northwoods was originally designed to minimise casualties by recreating acts of terrorism without actually harming American citizens.  The plans to sink a US ship included a method for sinking an unmanned ship, and shooting down an unmanned US drone plane; both would have been used to create public support for reprisals against Cuba for deaths which never occurred.

However, if you're suggesting that the US government was behind 9/11, then you really need to think hard about that theory.  It relies too much on circumstancial evidence and reverse science to be credible, but I will give you that there are unexplained incidents surrounding the attack on the WTC; namely the large number of secondary explosions and the freefall nature of the towers' collapse (and, if you watch videos of the collapse, you can see windows several floors below the collapse exploding outwards).

While I reject the notion of a conspiracy theory, there is something the US government is not telling us...many conspiracy theories around 9/11 state that several bombs were planted within the WTC, and that aided the rapid collapse of the Twin Towers.  They also say that Al-Qaeda cannot have had such high access to the WTC to place those bombs (stating that the US govt. was behind it), but they are ignoring another possibility; if bombs were planted by Al-Qaeda, it would make a mockery of the security in the WTC, something the US government would not want to reveal...that their sheer incompetence resulted in so many deaths.

EDIT: If Mav were here, I'm sure he'd be mumbling something about Occam's Razor... :innocent:

German interior minister Wolfgang Schäuble is planning a set of laws that allow better -i.e. more thorough- control of identification and preemptive actions. He is severely slagged for this in the German media, especially one phrase of his: "I'd rather accidentally jail ten innocents than have one terrorist running around." As long as this ignites controversy -and it does, Schäuble is basically portrayed as anything from Orwellian nightmare to Gestapo/Stasi officer everywhere- I'm not too worried. There is enough opposition to his plans in government and parliament to not make this happen.

I'd start to get worried if people stop resisting.

As to the government control vs. liberty debate, I don't think CCTV cameras are the issue here.  When you see the kind of things that go on in inner-city areas in the UK at night, I don't see why they shouldn't install cameras, although in terms of trying to reduce crime and increase security, they're going entirely the wrong way about it...if the Metropolitan Police were more concerned with defending the rights of the victims than not being sued by the criminals, then we'd be better off.  I refuse to believe that the British government is in any way responsible for terrorist attacks on Britain...seriously, they can just about run the country as it is, with no room in the prisons, convicted criminals on the streets because there is no room for them, and a falling standard of education (plus the rise in gun culture, and gang violence in the big cities).  If the British govt. is trying to create a 'Big Brother' society, they aren't having much success, as they have little enough control.

And I agree with what Albie says...it's the corporations who hold more control than the govt. ever can.  Ever wonder why you get so much junk mail when you sign up for one little thing online?  Companies watch your every transaction, so they can 'offer you further products and services'.

The danger of crossing into Orwellian territory is when your freedoms are restricted or taken away in areas that they shouldn't be.  For example, a camera in public is fine - it's called public for a bloody reason, anyone can observe you.  There is no expectation of privacy in public.  If you have CCTV cameras installed in areas where privacy is expected, then there is a major problem.  Many companies have been sued and the like, and this process will continue until such things are done.

The biggest danger to freedoms in the USA is being slowly rolled back by Congress - the USA PATRIOT Act.  And I expect that process will continue under the Democratic Congress, and hopefully, under the next president (whoever he or she may be).  However, I reject the idea that the US government was behind 9/11.  The vast majority of people who are far more educated than I have agreed.  The towers collapsed because of structural weaknesses caused by the heat of the flame.  When 99% of the PhDs in physics and engineering say something, I tend to agree.

Watching the US administration over the past six years has led me to the following conclusion: they are far too incompetent to create, orchestrate, and carry out a massive conspiracy with less than 8 months on the job.  The people who flew the airplanes were training for two years, for instance, and I don't believe any government pilots went missing in their stead.  Dick Cheney can't even point a gun straight.

No, this US administration is crooked, idiodic, repressive, and dishonest, but they certainly are not conspirators.  At least in 9/11...that whole Iraq thing deserves a closer look-at, in my opinion.

i'm not here to argue, as i state only facts, so argue with them

however i understand,
CCTV does serve a purpose... if it didnt how would they have allowed them to happen in the first place?
my point is... that it is the beginning of things worse to come... you wont notice until a liberty is taken that you really loved...

so if CCTV's are allowed because its public...
what about areas that are no longer able to be protested peacefully on? the parliament, and so forth

There are TONS of more examples than northwoods...
it always seems that people will always disregard something until the facts can no longer be hidden from them, but then they wont go any further

why is it so hard to believe that any government would do things like this and more...

as for 9/11, i wont get into that subject today, but theres a lot more 110% concrete evidence that most people don't know about

If you mean the usual 9/11 conspiracy "documents", I've seen a lot of them.  They are very convincing, but I have also seen a lot more convincing sources directly contradicting the "facts" presented; at least most of them.  And if it comes down to picking reliable sources, I tend to trust the guy with the PhD in structural engineering over the college shmuck with too much time on his hands.

No offense intended to anyone by this post.  Everyone is free to believe or not believe what they want.

We are not here to argue either, we're here to debate with the facts, after all that is what forums are for. Don't barricade yourself behind facts that are after all debatable. Join the discussion it's safe :)

Well made point, Onhell. Discussion of different points of view is generally encouraged here - not penalised.
