Into Darkness pissed me off so much that I gave up on Star Trek after watching it.
It's almost as if this film was a singularity; a film so creatively bankrupt that it became self-aware and spiteful, to the extent that it turned what is probably universally acknowledged to be the most poignant moment in the entire Star Trek universe (Spock's death) into an awesomely lame in-joke. Star Trek died then and there for me.
