Official Iron Maiden artwork and fan drawn Eddies (no AI images please)

Yeah, the colouring on the one Maiden tweeted looks like the work of the guy who does their tour shirts at the moment.

Kalata, I have Riggs book, I'll take a look in it when I get a chance and if the original is in it I'll scan it for you and post it here if you still want it.

Absolutely yes. I would be happy if you do that, mate. :)

Yeah you are correct. I have the 1st and 2nd one as cd singles, but not the 3rd one :)

Unless I misunderstood what people are meaning, then you are wrong about the 3rd one being vinyl. The first one, the green one is the cover of the 12 Inch.

You may have the very rare dutch CD single though if you have the green one as a CD.

EDIT: I was misunderstanding, I thought people were till talking about Virus.

Speaking of covers and their sciences, I'd love to see a "remaster" of the 7th Son album and single sleeves done by Hugh Syme in the same style he did the X-Factor. I think it would be disgusting and Eddie would look fun and chewy.

The best cover from TXF era is the one for the album cover IMO.
Too much unidimensional for a photograph. As far as I'm concerned this should be the cover:
IRON_MAIDEN_MAN%2BON%2BTHE%2BEDGE%2B-%2BBOX%2BSET%2BSEALED-53398.jpg

I had a look but unfortunately it looks like that picture isn't in the book.

:ok:

Sorry, but the cover for MOTE single is also not so good to me.

Please NO. The covers for the 7th Son singles are amazing and timeless.

Does anybody know is this artwork from NPFTD era was specifically for something like tour/tour poster/merch etc ?

I just saw it in a Metal Hammer magazine cover.
Derek said in his book, that the artwork wasn't just the main artwork for the album cover and the singles. He should do a lot of artworks for the album cover, singles, magazine covers, postcards, alternative artworks (like eddie ripper in Bring your daughter…, posters, t-shirts, events t-shirts…between 10 and 20 artworks, sometimes they used all of them or don't.

Yeah, it is probably from some kind of a bootleg (live Wembley Arena 1990)..... see below [Iron Maiden - Sledgehammer]

This Eddie has a very shapeless strange head.

As @The_7th_one said, it was originally drawn for a Metal Hammer cover, then reprised for one version of "BYDTTS".
