NOW PLAYING

What's your verdict?
It is a bit early to tell... but it was great. Sure, some melodies may have been heard before, but all the songs are very enjoyable. They went for a 'classic' feel but for all periods of the band, and it doesn't sound as if they were trying too hard. In a nutshell, it is great and I don't regret ordering the earbook. :)

But would you have rather had a new Gamma Ray album, or is this better…?

As for me, I find Helloween (the album) better than any Gamma Ray album after PowerPlant, no question. That said, it is difficult to compare "fond memories" to (very) new releases. Overall, the Pumpkins' album is much more melodic.
