There's a great riff played under the harmony before Dave's solo that isn't that clear on the real mix. I actually really miss a lot of the keys and orchestration on this one though.

John Slater's swan song with Blaze, 17 years ago, and he tried some fingerpicking during the clean parts. One of their best tracks.
(And the only song on the album which Steve Wray does not have a writing credit on).

Agreed with regards to the horns but the rest of the track/mix sounds pretty good
I never really liked or got into the original mix of the album so the horns aren't a dealbreaker for me.

For me the soupy reverb is part of the overall feel of that album, and it always sounds weird to hear the dried out version. But I can see why people who approached it later might prefer the remix.
