NOW PLAYING

Hmm, I agree about The X Factor. With such a heavy and powerful sound, it would be hailed as a masterpiece. Very modern sounding dark album. In that scenario, it could compete (+/-) with Bruce's Accident of Birth and The Chemical Wedding albums.
Not a chance. The songwriting on The X Factor can’t hold a candle to most of Accident Of Birth, much less The Chemical Wedding. And the word “masterpiece” has no business being used anywhere near The X Factor.

Maybe I was trying to be positive about Maiden for once. But I agree that those two Bruce albums leave Maiden's '90s efforts in the dust.

I was dead serious! And (+/-) was my insurance. It miserably failed.

OK, now I’m completely lost about what you thought or were trying to say. I took the “(+/-)” as “more or less”, and my laugh emoji was genuine, based on the absurd premise you were putting forth. But it sounded to me like you were being serious. Now it sounds like maybe you weren’t. I don’t get it.

Yeah, you understood my post entirely correctly. The +/- was intended exactly as you perceived it, also serving as a little safety net—"with some reservations." Yes, I was serious. At that moment, I genuinely thought that The X Factor with a Louder Than Hell-style sound would sound great.

My second post was sort of me coming to terms with reality. I wasn't trying to bet the house on my first post; it was more like a stream of thought, right here and right now. I wasn't joking either—I was simply writing down whatever was on the surface of my mind at that moment.

So, there was no communication breakdown in this instance. I think, ha ha.
