Some spring chickens from misty Albion released
Piece of Mind at a time when these Italian moustachioed stallions and foxy ladies ruled the boot-shaped peninsula.
Just imagine Steve and Bruce with their glorious '80s haircuts swaying along to Italian pop hits. It would be an unforgettable experience. All that metal toughness, all those studded wristbands and warrior poses, would melt like wax in the sun, and all Maiden fans would become one big family of happy flower hamsters.
In all seriousness, though, I have a real soft spot for Italian pop music of the '80s. Al Bano and Romina were the ultimate power couple of the scene. And Riccardo Fogli's
Storie di Tutti Giorni? Complete heartbreak. Absolutely devastating.

I'm perfectly aware that with this post I'm ruining my impeccable forum legacy as a man of flawless reputation and a shepherd of the middle road.
* But that's all right. I'm perfectly fine with being a flower hamster… at least for a few moments. Because I'm completely secure in my true-metal-man orientation, ha ha. I'm tough as
rock clay. And yet, whenever I hear those heart-melting Italian melodies, I transform into an Italian lover and dreamer.
Don't be afraid. Be a flower hamster for a moment. Come with me into the magical land of the boot-shaped peninsula and its musical spells.
*Zero irony here - just pure butterfly-and-olive-oil confidence.
Hail and kiss.
